Fredrik Malmberg

A unified company across national borders

Begoma’s international growth has meant more markets – but also new demands for coordination and consistency. With offices in Sweden, Poland, Ukraine and the Netherlands, among other places, it has been crucial to build a cohesive organisation with common working methods.

– Our ambition has always been to create a unified Begoma, regardless of where you work or what language you speak,’ says Fredrik, Deputy Managing Director.

Today, all employees work according to the same structure and processes, with English as the group language. Weekly Teams meetings with the entire organisation help to ensure that everyone is working in the same direction and is part of the same whole.

– It’s about creating a sense of context. We want everyone to feel that they work at Begoma – not just in an office,’ says Fredrik.

Technology as an enabler – culture as a foundation

Shared systems and digital tools are important prerequisites, but it is culture that makes the working method sustainable. Clarity, trust and cooperation must permeate the entire organisation – regardless of role or country.
– The most important thing is not the systems themselves, but what we do with them. Structure is necessary, but it is equally important that every employee knows what we stand for and feels part of the whole.

Structure inwards – flexibility outwards

Our internal working methods are also evident in our customer relations. Local market knowledge combined with global coordination means that Begoma always delivers flexible and efficient freight solutions tailored to customer needs.
– We want to offer global reach with local roots. Our employees around the world are knowledgeable about their markets, but always act as part of a larger context. This makes us both agile and coordinated.

Ultimately, it’s not about where you sit. It’s about how you work together. Across teams, countries and time zones, collaboration is key. That’s what enables global reach with local expertise.
