Choose HVO100 for your next transport
Reduce emissions without changing your logistics setup. With HVO100, Begoma gives you a simple way to meet growing sustainability demands while keeping your operations running as usual.
Sustainability in logistics is no longer optional. Many companies face increasing demands from customers to reduce emissions, often within complex and time-sensitive supply chains.
At Begoma, this has led to a practical solution. Customers can choose to run their transports on HVO100, a renewable alternative to conventional diesel that combines technical compatibility with significant emission reductions.
For companies working with customers with strict climate and environmental requirements, choosing HVO100 for your transports is a quick and wise choice to stay compliant.
What is HVO100?
HVO100, or Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil, is a synthetic diesel fuel produced through a hydrogenation process. Renewable raw materials are treated with hydrogen under high pressure and temperature to create a cleaner and stable fuel.
Typical feedstocks include vegetable oils, used cooking oils, animal fats and other waste residues. The result is a fuel that is chemically very similar to fossil diesel, meaning it works seamlessly in existing engines.
– From a technical standpoint there is little difference for the vehicle. It runs exactly as it would on traditional diesel, but with a significantly lower climate impact, says Fredrik Malmberg, Deputy Managing Director at Begoma.
From a lifecycle perspective, CO₂ emissions can be reduced by up to 90 percent, depending on feedstock and logistics. A significant reduction compared to conventional fossil fuels.
Choose HVO100 for your next transport
When a customer selects HVO100, Begoma ensures that an equivalent amount of renewable fuel is used within its transport network. If the exact shipment cannot run on HVO100, the fuel is instead used in other vehicles operating across Europe.
– It is the same procedure as when you book a flight ticket and choose to buy sustainable fuel. It is unlikely that your specific flight uses that fuel, but the airline guarantees that the same amount is used elsewhere, says Fredrik Malmberg.
How it works at Begoma:
- Pick HVO100 as the desired fuel when booking your transport.
- Begoma calculates the fuel consumption and emissions.
- The corresponding volume of HVO100 is purchased and used within our network.
- You receive documentation confirming the climate impact.
