Quality and good service – two keywords for team MMA1

Jane Fernlid works as a forwarder and team leader at Begoma. Together with her three colleagues, Jane is part of the MMA1 group, which is responsible for some of the company’s traffic to and from Sweden and other parts of Europe. Team MMA1 is a hive of activity every day. It is important to keep track of trucks, goods and deliveries to find the best, fastest and most cost-effective transport solutions for customers. Planning international transport includes multiple factors, from booking transport, to preparing shipping and export documents, goods insurance and negotiation of freight fees.

Begoma delivers and collects goods throughout Europe. The transportation process differs from customer to customer depending on the type of goods, warehouse management, agreement and final destination. Jane explains that they have many repeat customers who export steel, paper and waste to various countries in Europe. When planning, Jane and her colleagues aim to find the smartest and most cost-effective transport routes. Efficient transportation plans are beneficial not only for the customer, but also for the environment.

Sometimes unforeseen events occur during transportation and that’s when great contact with the haulier is especially important. Jane, who has worked in the transport industry for a long time, knows the importance of providing feedback to the customer as quickly as possible. Her German and English language skills also come in handy.
