Meet our Assistant Forwarder Iveta!

Iveta Chaloupková was born in Opočno pod Orlickými horami and grew up in Kostelec nad Orlicí, in the Czech Republic. Early on, she developed an interest in service and languages. Therefore, she chose to study hotel and tourism in high school. She completed her education with a diploma and a First Certificate in English.

Since then, she has gained broad experience in several companies. In each role, she took on important responsibilities. Among other things, she worked with foreign customers and suppliers. She also managed purchase orders, checked stocks and invoices, and prepared documents for customs.

For example, she worked in the export order department at ESAB Europe. There, she provided customer service to business units around the world. After that, she joined Union Cosmetics, a Czech company, where she worked in the export department. Before both of these roles, she was a dispatcher at TTV Spedition. At that time, she managed one of their biggest customers.

Iveta explains: “I enjoy working as an assistant freight forwarder because the job is so varied. You need to be communicative, and there’s always something happening.”

A part of Begoma

Moreover, she appreciates the atmosphere at Begoma. “I have great colleagues and supportive managers. I also like that Begoma is a family business,” she adds.

Iveta became part of Begoma in June 2018. Since then, her knowledge of the European transport network has been a great advantage. Additionally, her experience in international logistics purchasing adds value for both us and our customers.

On a personal note, she describes herself as responsible, cheerful, and sociable. Today, she lives in Týniště nad Orlicí — the same town where Begoma’s Czech branch office is located. There, she shares a home with her husband and their two children, aged 8 and 6.

Outside of work, Iveta enjoys being outdoors. In particular, she likes gardening, taking care of the family dog, cycling, and travelling.
