Meet the Begoma office in Kyiv, Ukraine

Begoma is represented by offices in several locations in Europe, and since January this year, they also have an office in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. With local and physical presence Begoma can offer customers the best possible service and tailor-made transport solutions. This is also the case in Ukraine, or perhaps especially in Ukraine, given the difficult situation the country is in. With a local office in Kyiv, Begoma hopes to support the domestic industry by shortening lead times and offering continuous road and rail transport at competitive prices, both within Ukraine and to and from the country.

Boris Khruslov is Begoma’s Branch Manager in Ukraine. He explains that Ukraine is a large country with over 41 million inhabitants. There is a great need for efficient transport, and with the supply chain in turmoil, safe and timely transport has become an important competitive advantage. With a local office in Kyiv, Begoma can build a network of personal contacts to offer services and increase its presence in the country. Boris Khruslov says it is crucial for foreign companies to show confidence in Ukraine by establishing and developing their operations in the country. It is what the country needs right now, and it will also help the country rebuild when the war ends.

At present, Begoma’s Kyiv office offers truck and train transportation, both domestic and international. Sea and air routes have been completely closed since the war began. To cope with the many challenges and difficulties that Ukraine is facing with a severely afflicted economy, destroyed infrastructure, continued bombing and many people on the move, it is essential to have a flexible and solution-oriented work approach. Boris Khruslov is currently setting up Begoma’s office in Kyiv, Ukraine, and he spends much of his time contacting new customers and other transport companies.
