Our takeaways from Transport Logistic 2025
The international trade fair Transport Logistic is one of the largest hubs in the world for the transport and logistics industry. This year was no different. Record numbers, tens of thousands of visitors and a focus on digitalization, sustainability and AI. Here, you can read our main takeaways.
With over 77,000 visitors from over 130 countries, it was only natural that Begoma had to be in Munich to participate in this year’s fair.
– This fair always serves as a great opportunity to meet with industry people and discuss common goals and get insights into challenges and opportunities in the industry, says Henrik Malmberg, Managing Director at Begoma.
Here you can read his main takeaways, after having visited Transport Logistic 2025:
Less talk – more doing
Compared to the previous fair, back in 2023, there was less talk of sustainability this time around. However, that does not mean that the focus has declined or that the industry as a whole has abandoned common goals all of a sudden. Quite the contrary.
The sustainability work in the industry has reached a point where these important questions are integrated into the everyday operations of companies.
– This year, when discussing road freight for example, the use of biofuel or electric trucks are on the agenda in a natural way. It is not a dream of the future or wishful thinking, the change is happening right now, says Henrik Malmberg.
For Begoma, this means that exciting ways to enhance the efficiency of our operations in a more climate friendly way are presenting themselves more clearly than ever. Be sure to read more about this later on this year.
Increased care for customer relations
The GDP growth in several European countries has stagnated. Not disastrously, but enough that aggressive expansions among transport and logistics companies are less common at the moment.
Instead, Henrik Malmberg sees an increased focus on preserving existing business deals and relations.
– The economic reality in our industry leads to some hesitation, but also to an increased care for customer relations. It is clear that many companies put a greater effort into maintaining a good relationship with their customers, he says.
For Begoma, where we have always prioritized the human aspect of transport and logistics, this is no surprise. Having a personal contact to reach out to and speak with about your transport solutions is more important than ever.
